The Apprentice Engineer works with a Journeyman Engineer at all times and is given the opportunity to learn all phases of the maintenance engineer functions and responsibilities in order to support the Facilities department.

+ Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and plumbing problems.

+ Install or re-direct electrical circuits as needed.

+ Completework orders.

+ Install new layouts for all gaming tables as required.

+ Walk daily routes and make necessary repairs.

+ Re-lamp throughout property as necessary.

+ Perform all otherjob-relatedduties as requested.


+ Attend Operating Engineer apprentice school.

+ Ability to perform basic math.

+ Ability to learn how to troubleshoot, diagnoseand repair all plumbing, gas equipment, air conditioning, electrical equipment, pumps, boilers, water heaters, water softeners andwater treatment but not limited to.

+ Ability to learn to use diagnostic tools, suchasampmeters,voltmeters, OHM meters, compound gaugesandpressuregauges etc., but not limited to.

+ Ability to trouble shootand repair in theupsafestandefficientmanner.

+ Workingknowledge or the ability to research all Federal or State Building/Safety codes.

+ Excellent customer service skills.

+ Have interpersonal skill to deal effectively with all business contacts.

+ Professional appearance and demeanor.

+ Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.


+ Previous experience working in a resort setting.
