Responsible for properly performing financial activities related to the Accounting activities of the Finance Department, in accordance with established policies, procedures and controls.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and review balance sheet accounts to assure accuracy in the GL and ensures that variances are accounted
  • Prepare internal financial reports
  • Prepare tax returns and license reports
  • Prepare special financial reports as needed
  • Assist outside auditors when necessary
  • Communicate with the CFO and department heads regarding accounting and internal control issues
  • Prepare adjusted entries for the next month to correct any variances if necessary.
  • Prepare weekly Managers Report and OT Report
  • Receive checks and payments for deposit
  • Prepare monthly schedules for other receivables, employee advances, and employee over/short
  • Completes monthly reconciliation of all asset and liability accounts and provides management with completed profitability each month
  • Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in hotel/casino accounting
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to work with other department personnel, co-workers and management
  • Pleasant personality, team oriented and enjoys working with and assisting people
  • Advanced computer skills
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Degree in Accounting or some formal accounting education preferred
  • Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

  • Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and/or chest levels
  • Frequently bend, reach, twist, squat, kneel, sit, stand, and walk
